I made a start to the article. By no means complete, but this is something that needs to be worked on -- MarshalN

Key questions
- How scientific should and can we get?
- I would say as much as you feel like, the caveat being that there should be a significant intro or overview section of information catering to newbies. I guess the goal on wikicha is to have lots of information but also be friendly to westerners new to loose leaf tea. --Scruffmcgruff 00:27, 12 February 2008 (EST)
- What sources do we accept for this information?
- I don't think there are any really strict guidelines on sources here, at least not at this point. Whatever you feel is appropriate. --Scruffmcgruff 00:27, 12 February 2008 (EST)
- Should different aspects of yixing be covered in two articles (ie Yixing City vs. Yixing Clay vs. Yixing Pots vs. Raising an Yixing pot), or should it all be in one article?
- Splitting it up into different articles might be nice if the main one gets to be too long, but for now I wouldn't necessarily worry about it. --Scruffmcgruff 00:27, 12 February 2008 (EST)

Salsero commented: Wow, this is an ambitious outline, but attractive! The only caveat would be the one that Brent mentioned: an overview section for the newbies -- but hey, anybody can write that part! I'm especially interested in matching pots to teas since it's all hit or miss for me! ABx had a 30-minute video of someone actually making a pot. I don't know if that would be availabe to be linked or is protected Salsero 00:54, 12 February 2008 (EST)
- Agreed, I would personally be most interested in matching pots to teas. --Scruffmcgruff 01:36, 12 February 2008 (EST)
