Tea experts often still refer to tea from the island nation of Sri Lanka by the country's old name, Ceylon. There are four major tea growing regions in Sri Lanka.
*Dimbula
*Galle
*Nuwara Eliya - This is the highest elevation where teas are grown in Sri Lanka. These are the best-known Ceylon teas, sometimes called the "Champagne of Ceylons," light, bright (=astringent), bearing floral aromas, and often described as lemony.
*Ratnapura - Teas from this region are full-bodied and robust, even infusing to a dark red color. They can have much in common with Assams or China Blacks.
