Overview
Assam is a category of Black tea grown in Assam region of India. Assam teas are produced from a variant of the Camellia sinensis p,ant, known as Camellia sinensis assamica.
Production
Production differes significantly from other Indian teas from the very beginning. Assam tea is grown in much lower elevations, frequently right along the Brahmaputra River.
